Thursdays Thoughts // How are you?
How are you?
No really, how are you?
Take a minute to answer that question for yourself...
I wonder what thoughts, feelings, emotions you may have just experienced?
There was most likely a mix of things. Some that are pretty positive and uplifting, but most likely others that you'd rather not be experiencing.
I know that's the way I think. Get rid of the negative feelings and emotions as quickly as possible, just try to leave them to one side. There is a problem with this way of life though. The more you suppress those slightly more downcast and negative feelings the more they pile up, and eventually they all come tumbling out in one go.
By now I'm sure you're aware that we're in this time of lock-down for the long hall, which means we can't put everything on pause, especially not our thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Want to know the best advice? Well as always the Bible knows best, 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, 'Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.'
I'd really recommend you go and listen to Guvna B's song Cast Your Cares, it's a beautiful reminder for us to share our cares with God, because he cares.
Why not spend some time today talking with God about how you are, and share with him what's going on. Give it all to him, let him share in your highs and lows, because he cares and wants to do life with you.
